Sunshine Coast Airport is located in Marcoola and serves as the only airport in the area that can handle jet aircraft. It serves as the primary airport serving Sunshine Coast although Brisbane International Airport is the primary airport in the state. With approximately ninety thousand passenger movements per year, Sunshine Coast Airport is the 15th largest airport in the country. The airport is located 56 miles away from Brisbane.

From Maroochydore Sunshine Coast should be no more than a twenty-minute drive. You should, however, give allowance for traffic and any other emergency. In order to plan your pick up times accurately, we’ve shared approximate ETA’s to the airport from popular areas in the city.

From the Noosa region, it should take around forty minutes to Sunshine Coast Airport. Sunshine Beach has a similar ETA. Caloundra to the airport is a thirty-minute drive. Coolum has an ETA of no more than 10 minutes and Peregian 20 minutes. Further, into the hinterland, Montville to the airport is a thirty-minute drive, Maleny should take around forty minutes, and Mapleton thirty.

If you want to use the public transport system, Translink buses are located at arrivals. If you opt for a taxi, those are also available. Note that there are additional costs if you opt for a taxi. They charge a service fee of around two dollars. You could also rent a car. Several rental companies operate in the area including Enterprise, Hertz and Avis. Shuttle bus services such as those offered by con-x-ion are also available and will do drop-offs to your chosen destination. Airport shuttles will be available at arrivals.
